• Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Certificate in Close Protection (QCF)

Who are these BTEC's for?

These BTEC Awards are designed and intended for:

• those working in the security sector or similar industries who have a responsibility to provide conflict management training to others
• personnel who train in the security sector or similar industries to achieve a nationally recognised vocationally-specific qualification
• people who want to work in the security industry and therefore require a licence to practice

These qualifications are endorsed by the SIA and learners who have completed it successfully can then apply to the SIA for a licence.

Aims of the qualifications

The awards are designed to provide:

• the knowledge, understanding and skills that learners need to provide effective conflict management training
• opportunities for learners to focus on the development of the major key skills and the wider key skills in a security and conflict management context, such as improving own learning and performance, working with others and problem solving
• opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes that are essential for successful performance in a training environment.
